Daily exercises can help to promote wellness and improve your body conditions. Hence it’s important to try to do light exercise in between. Let me take this opportunity to share with you some simple yet effective exercises that you can do right at your working desk!

1. Head Turns

This exercise aims to encourage the movement of your neck. Firstly,  sit upright and tuck in your chin slightly. Slowly tilt your head to your left and hold in that position for about 5-10 seconds. When you feel a stretch down your neck and shoulder, tilt to the other side and repeat.

Repeat this action 3x on each side.

2. Upper Arm Stretch

This exercise is to stretch the back of our shoulder. For this exercise, you have to sit upright with one arm stretched across your body. Use the other hand to grasp around the elbow area pull it towards yourself. Try to hold for 5-10 seconds.

Repeat 3x.

3. Hands Behind Head

This exercise is to stretch your chest and underneath your shoulder. Firstly, sit upright and clasp your hands behind your head. Then lean back on your chair and pull your elbow back until you can feel a stretch through your shoulder, arms, elbows and hands. Try to hold on for 20-30 seconds.

Repeat 3x

4. Chin Tucks

This exercise is to target the movement of our neck and maintain good neck posture. This exercise is simple. We have to sit upright and look straight ahead. Then, we glide our chin backwards to form a double chin. Hold on for 5-10 seconds.
