Wow, Check Out These Condo Renovation Projects Below $30,000!

Mention the word renovation and instantly, a drop of perspiration forms on your forehead – one from the start of many. You think about the money you need to put in to do the designing, the time taken to complete the renovation, the moving in, and the cleaning up.

Sigh. Just reading it makes us tired…

BUT it does not always have to be this way!

Our guess is that budget is the root of the renovation worry. Many people think it will cost approximately (or more than) $50,000.

Kaching, kaching!

Suddenly our pockets feel lighter and our bank balance loses some of its zeros. However, contrary to popular Singaporean belief, you can actually get a vavavoom renovation done with LESS THAN $30,000.

Yes, blink a few times because we are going to show you some designs that cost less than $30,000 to complete. Mind you, we are not going to ‘bluff’ you by showing you projects that cost $29,999.99; we are unraveling ones that are significantly lower than that margin.

The bright whites are balanced with cool and deep blues to give the space more depth. The floating bar is nothing short of genius.

To extend the space, mirrors are used throughout the length of the cabinet doors, dispersing light and making the room seem larger.

A Marvel Mystery

We are not talking about Marvel comics but when it comes to interior design, it’s close enough. Deep dark colour schemes are becoming more popular of late and we totally understand why. Dark colours present a little mystery and offer another option to sleek and classy.

This gorgeous unit at Inz Residence was designed by Sense & Semblance Pte Ltd. Using colours like deep ebony, Prussian blue, and black, the home exudes enigma and sophistication. At $11,000 to renovate this 93 square meter home, it is safe to say that the price is a marvel too!

Funky, Fresh, Dressed to Impress

We love eclectic designs but most people are a little wary having an artsy house because it is not the norm. You know what we say? Follow your heart!

Your space, your rules. If you are an art collector and would love to have it hung all around your home and desire to have your furnishings match your somewhat eccentric taste, don’t hold back.

Just look at how this condominium unit at Thomson Grand turned out. The total investment for the renovation of the 147 square metre unit is only $25,600. Designed by Ataz House, we are in sheer shock at how gorgeous this home is!

Like a visit to an art gallery, this unit is not shy of displaying quirks unique to the owner’s personality. The track lights from the ceiling instantly draw eyes to the display.

Scant-dinavian Style

Simplicity, functionality along with minimalism, the type of design everyone wants to have in their home these days. But with high demand means a higher price, right?

Not exactly.

We look at this gorgeous Scandinavian home designed by Carpenters 匠, whitewashed, elegant and fitted with loads of storage (because a real home needs that, right?). At 72 square meters, this unit at Sol Acres was renovated at a surprising cost of $28,000.

The finished outcome certainly does not seem to match the price. From white wall panelling, pendant lights, notice board, storage cabinets, to raised flooring, a lot has been done to this space.

Check it out and be awed!

Putting the Class in Modern Classic

Have you ever thought of merging your favourite colours, accents and collections into your home interior design? It is tricky, but if you’ve got an interior designer that catches your vision, then you are set to be living in your dream space – all within your budget!

Check out this modern classic furnished condominium at Pavilion 11. At 138 square meters, the home is converted into a regal abode decorated with abstract art on white canvas by Noble Interior Design.

To make use of ample natural light, imposing colours such as blue and yellow are used generously. In areas that do not get as much light, whites make up the dominant colour of the space.

In the rooms, the full-length windows are ‘shortened’ by having a storage area that works as a comfy nook to chill to read a book or take in the views.
