Zhiqi and Federick were recommended by a friend of ours whose house was renovated by them 5 years ago. During our first consultation, they were receptive to the ideas that we had and was willing to work with the budget that we had. Even though we were asking quite a number of items to be included in our budget, they were able to make suggestions to make things work out for us. Based on the ideas that we shared in the first meeting, Zhiqi provided a detailed sketch in the second meet-up even before we confirmed them to be our IDs. Their sincerity and patience won us over. During the process of renovation, they adhered very well to the timeline that they had provided for us. My husband and I never feel that we had to press them for work. Regular updates were also provided even when we had no time to go down to inspect often. The announcement for MCO and Circuit Breaker disrupted our renovation greatly. Even then, they were able to rush and allowed us to move in in stay in condition. After Circuit Breaker, they were able to ensure that works were done and rectified properly despite the limited manpower and backlog of reno projects accumulated due to CB. Started looking for an ID during the circuit breaker period. Spoke to 4, and ELPIS was the last I spoke to. After my first conversation with Zhiqi and Frederick, I didn’t think twice to go with them. They were very professional and know their stuff. I just threw out some of my requirements, and they immediately know what I want. Throughout the renovation period, both Frederick and Zhiqi kept me up to date with the progress very frequently. Zhiqi also accompanied me personally to select tiles, sanitary and lightings, giving me lots of advice along the way. The final product is perfect! Call me biased, but there is no way you'd get a better ID than Jeffery Tan from Elpis. I contacted 10 IDs. The very first one did not keep to the brief after a 2-hour meeting. Of the 10, it was only Jeffery who was prepared with four hand-drawn layouts. He was the second ID we met. We kind of knew we wanted to go with him, but of course we wanted to meet more. I must say he set the benchmark high. The others we met just did not have the same enthusiasm. During our meeting, Jeffery was able to think of solutions for each and every one of our questions. His experience showed in the way he was able to do so on the spot. He also did not push "template" design ideas to us and listened to what we wanted carefully. Of course this long story means we chose him. Best decision ever. I can't stress how much of a load Jeffery took off us. He was frequently there to monitor his men and to give us updates. He was always available and he was so patient. We weren't exactly fickle, but any time I wasn't too sure with a decision I was always comfortable to check in with him again. He was very clear that it's us, the owners, who would have to go back to the home everyday and the decisions were ultimately left to us. The suggestions he made turned out beautifully. And I must say Jeffery is more than an ID because he's like a friend. When relatives went down when we weren't around, they were impressed at the way he showed them around like the homeowner, excited at all the things that made the flat a home. Jeffrey's passion is so refreshing and he never makes you feel like just one of his projects. In fact, it was hard to believe that we were not his only clients because he paid so much attention to us. His memory is also shocking... Some things that weren't written down, he remembered off the top of his head. He knew the smallest details about our preferences. This is a long review but this is the least I can do for the ID who allowed me to come back to a space that fills my heart with love every single day. We chose Elpis over a colleague's recommendation and true enough, we didn't regret it at all. Stepher our ID was patient and professional throughout. He understood what we want (though we just give abstract ideas) and display it through his works. He is very accommodating and pushing for sales wasn't his option. He gave many alternatives, and give prompt updates to diminish any concerns that we have. We engaged Fredrick & Zhi Qi from ELPIS Interior after visiting various ID firms. Super glad that we chose them as they did a fantastic job! They understood our requirements and patiently explained to us on the different products that we can use so that we are able to make informed decisions. Jason was the first ID I spoke to when I decided to renovate my resale unit. It was clear that he was experienced in his work, and was able to grasp a good understanding of my preferences, and suggested design ideas to fit my lifestyle needs. His ideas were very practical, and was able to advise me on options so that I kept pretty close to my intended budget. Throughout the entire renovation process, Jason was very prompt in providing and rectified any issues that popped up along the way, making it totally fuss-free for me. My wife and I have engaged Frederick and Zhiqi for our new BTO renovation. Right from the start of the initial meet ups, we have already experienced their professionalism from understanding our ideas to providing proactive suggestions to enhance our home design. Our discussion took quite some time, from onsite visit, to the proposed design and budget explanation at their office, as we were more alert on the selection since this was our first time doing a renovation. Yet, they were more than being patient and excited in our interactions, all this even before we have decided to engage them. With the onset of the lock down situation, they provided a sense of reliability to ensure the renovation work continued with minimum impact for us, from the arrangement of work schedules to the delivering of the end products. They were prompt in the responses to our queries throughout the engagement, and always proactively update the progress at various stages of the renovation. More importantly, they exuded a sense of positivity throughout the journey to make the experience enjoyable for us. Their tag team combo truly shines, as they were able to provide on the spot sketches for better visualizations of the design, together with their bountiful experience when it comes to onsite hands on work to bring out the best advice in terms of ergonomics design and practicality considerations. Based on our requirements, they have provided suggestions on the selection of quality materials for consideration to work within our budgets. We have no regrets in engaging Jeffery from Elpis for a full makeover of our current place that we have stayed in for 20 years. He is very helpful, sincere and committed in handling all his projects. Our reno was initially intended to start in early Apr but was delayed till mid Jun due to covid-19 and the circuit breaker. During the CB lockdown period, Jeffery took the initiative to propose a new design theme with 3D drawings, and discussed ideas with us through several Zoom sessions. We’d say this lockdown delay turned out to be a blessing as we had more time to create our dream home. Big thanks to Jeffery for his great dedication to always doing his best in meeting all our requirements. When we faced labor shortage to install vinyl flooring of our choice, Jeffery found an alternative solution to complete the flooring job without having to further delay our reno project. He even took the hassle to arrange for custom cut of our dining table top slab, and table legs design as well. Even after we have moved in, he still remains contactable for post reno rectification jobs. We will highly recommend Jeffery to our friends and family. Choosing Elpis Interior Design was the best decision we have made! My hubby and I liked Zhi Qi the very first time we met her. During our search for an ID, we felt that she really listened intently to understand our needs, taking into consideration our differences in styles and taste. She even took time to show us product samples on our very 1st meeting. On our 2nd meeting to look at her proposal, Zhi Qi showed us a mood board with her designs. We were very impressed by the efforts she had put into the proposal. She even had ready samples of the materials and colours she wanted to use. She really stood out among some other IDs we had seen – these IDs simply showed us some space planning floor plans and that was all. We also got to meet her team member, Frederick. He was very knowledgeable about different products and we really felt that they would do a good job. Before we confirmed ZQ and Fred for the job and while waiting to see other shortlisted IDs, we asked ZQ many questions and even asked for changes on her mood board so that we could visualize it better. Even though we had not confirmed them, ZQ still obliged and made changes for us. Sometimes, we would ask her things late at night and she still replied promptly. That really convinced us to make our choice ZQ and Fred also made the selection of materials easy and stress-free. Whether it was selection of tiles, laminates or toilet fittings, they were at hand to help us choose the right ones to fit the design theme. When it came to the fabrication and installation stages, Fred would send us regular updates on the goings-on in the unit. We found that we did not need to pop over to see the progress as much as we had thought at first or as advised by friends. Heard of those horror reno stories?? With Elpis, there were none of such issues. Even friends were quite surprised how smooth sailing our entire reno process had been. Any minor issues we saw were also quickly resolved. Even though ZQ and Fred were facing manpower shortages due to pandemic restrictions, they still managed to hand over our home on time without compromising on quality or workmanship. ZQ was especially helpful when we were shopping for furniture and soft furnishings – she would give suggestions that we found really useful. My hubby and I are extremely happy with how our dream home turned out! Looking at the before and after photos of the house, one cannot help but be amazed at the transformation! And how our differences in styles are also incorporated into the theme and there is an area or corner that reflects our individual style without compromising the design. What about after sales follow ups which is something in the minds of many homeowners? Well, 4 months into our home, ZQ and Fred are still sending people over whenever we spot any issues, even minor stuff like touch ups of paint.
