My family and I had begun to source for an interior designer when we got news that we had successfully secured a balance flat from HDB. At that point in time, we were not sure on whether we will choose a 4 room or 5 room flat. So we were unable to provide the floor plan to the interior designer. We were disappointed by being turned away by ID companies for not having floor plan until we came upon Ms Rachel from Kingsley Interior. She patiently listens to our interior design needs and dream even without confirmation of the floor plan. She showed us her company many unique designs and past ID projects. After we had received our floor plan, Rachel provided a detailed costing and timeline of the renovation project of our new home. She drafted her design plan and convert into 3D design pictures of our new home. We were totally impressed with her talent showed in the 3D design of our new home. Kian Wee is the guy! We met him at the start of December by chance for a non - obligatory consultation. He listened attentively and drafted a plan to meet our very challenging needs. He was made to hand draw detailed plans and erase multiple times because of our fickle-mindedness, and yet he remained patient with us. Throughout the whole project, he maintains great communication with us and tries his best to understand our preferences and advises us accordingly. He also has a great eye for details and thinks on his feet. Full of talents, he is more than just an ID, he drills and fix things too! Never had I come across an ID who needs to bring their electrical tools along during inspection. Come across Kingsley Interior via RenoGuru and after comparison, decide to go ahead with the quotation from Kingsley. Hiccups and frustration in between as the previous sales person left and didn't do a proper handover. Sean took over at the end and assisted me on the minor renovation of the resale flat. Months back, I attended my friend’s housewarming party for a 3-room resale flat. When I enter his newly renovated house, I can feel that it is tastefully done up and all items are made of good quality. As I am about to get the keys to my new home, I asked my friend to introduce me his ID so that I can take a look at what can be done to my 4 rm SOBF. And my friend introduced me to his ID Sean Tay from Kingsley Interior. The initial feeling that I received from Sean was welcoming and friendly. He asked my wife and I for some designs that we are looking for and shortlisting and requested us to prepare some photos and designs that we like for our initial meeting. As it was the first ID firm that I approached, I was pretty skeptical and had my reservations on him. So during the first discussion session, he showed us some of the designs he done up before and coincidentally, his forte, minimalist and monochrome designs are what me and my wife was going for. After the first meeting, my wife was shortlisting a few more ID firms on Renopedia so as to do some comparisons. About 1 week later, Sean told us that the drawings are ready, so we arranged a second meeting with him. On the second meeting, he went through with us his drawings and this is where I am sold to his idea. His designs are not only practical, they are also well though off. And the best part is, the quotation that he gave us was very competitive. Therefore on the spot I fast hand fast leg sign the contract and proceed. So here I am now, a happy homeowner. And my wife is more that happy and satisfy with the things done in our new home. As the saying goes, Happy wife, Happy life.
