Overall a wonderful experience.

For my resale flat, after sourcing many ID/contractors, We've settled with Jonathan and we are certainly pleased with the service. These are due to the following reasons: 1. Sourcing for quotations stage - Met up with Jonathan 4 times with multiple queries. Each time, despite his busy schedule, Jonathan was equally friendly, patient and attentive to address all queries. - His prices are reasonable and value for money versus the competition 2. During commencement of renovation work stage - Jonathan would send regular updates of the work and progress - Whenever there are questions or issues, while Jonathan is engaged with other projects, he will endeavour to reply and find solutions to these issues in a timely manner - For questions on lights, furniture and layout, Jonathan can be counted upon to provide his input. At times I've consulted him on Sunday (his off day) and he has taken the extra mile to reply - His quality of carpentry is known to be one of the best (i.e. ABS trimming is tip top etc.) 3. After sales support - After handing over the flat, on and off where I've queries or where there are minor issues, Jonathan is still prompt to address any of my queries and attend to them. My hubs and I are very happy and satisifed with the house Jonathan has done up for us. We were initially deliberating between hiring a contractor vs ID but we settled for the latter as we want the ID to be able to weigh on our suggestions and highlight any caveats to the seemingly nice designs we see on social media these days. Our experience with Jonathan was a very pleasant one even though it stretch across the circuit breaker. Jonathan is very sincere - he was different from other IDs and come across as passionate in his line of work rather than transactional like most others. In our pre-deposit engagement, Jonathan invested time and effort to mock up a brief 3D proposed layout of our house which allowed us to visualize much better. Jonathan listens to our needs and readily propose designs to complement it. He was extremely accommodative all the way even during CB period when our ideas kept changing. We were initially worried about CB impact on our house reno but these worries were unfounded as Jonathan was already working on a solution in the background before he updated us. In our new hdb block, my household was one of the first few to resume reno after CB period and this was possible because of Jonathan. He was very conscious of the project timeline and even sourced for SG workers to complete carpentry installation on time when MY workers could not enter SG. His attention to details was also commendable; we could always count on him to make complete arrangements. We bought some Ikea pegboards but neither my hubs nor I was comfortable drilling. I engaged Hygge Design for my new home renovation earlier this year

I engaged Hygge Design for my new home renovation earlier this year and Jonathan was the one who attended to me. Jonathan is an experienced ID who is meticulous and responsive to all my queries. I shopped around for a number of IDs and found Jonathan to be able to relate more with my requirements and can communicate effectively and promptly than the others. Hygge Design was also able to provide a competitive quote compared to the other IDs we enquired with. Although he has multiple projects on hand, he is able to remember what we went through and we were able to make progress each time we met. My renovation was slightly delayed due to Chinese new year, and Jonathan was upfront in informing us. He also went through the workmanship with us and had his workers rectify certain defects accordingly. All in all I highly recommend Jonathan.
