Most people lament Singapore housing for being pricey. Bungalows, terrace houses and even condominiums might create a huge dent in your wallet. However, you don’t have to let go of your dream of having an elegant house just because of your budget! Here are some beautiful 4-room flats that were designed and renovated for less than $60,000!
467 Bukit Batok by The Creative Studioz

As soon as you walk into this lovely home at Bukit Batok, you’re greeted by a pristine white living room that is minimally decorated to give it a sophisticated look. Less is best when it comes to creating an elegant room as too many decorations lead to a cluttered room.

If you like paddle pop or pastel colours, the kitchen has a very playful hint of pink undertones in an otherwise completely white setting. An overwhelming colour would derail from the classiness of the house but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a pop of colour once in a while! The choice of brick walls against the countertop gives the kitchen an LA / New York-style apartment look.

The bedroom and bathroom follow through with this cleanliness and feature a lot of sharp geometric lines, evidenced by the choice of square or rectangular furniture. This makes the entire house look cohesive and bright.
272D Punggol Residences by Interior Empire

If you prefer your home to have more patterns, textures and colour, this interior design is perfect for you! It features a bolder colour scheme that infuses slightly more personality in your home. This is artistically done because while there are various colours used for the decoration, it is contrasted against a white background so your home won’t look too overbearing or messy.

The bathroom for this home makes use of light-coloured wood and white marble to brighten up the bathroom and make it look more spacious.
90B Telok Blangah St 31 by Ovon Design

This polished flat at 90B Telok Blangah is the work of Ovon Interior. They creatively used mirrors to make the dining room look bigger and also add a touch of class. The marbled floor not only matches the ambience well, it is also easy to clean and provides a smooth texture to walk on.

We see a very well thought out layout here as the kitchen, living room and bedroom adhere to the cream, white and black colour palette. This shows the level of detail and thought that the Ovon designers put in to ensure you don’t feel disoriented when moving through different rooms.
Boon Lay by SEDS Interior

The bedroom design for this Boon Lay home seems almost palace-like with dark wood finishing and an entire area dedicated to your clothes, handbags and a spacious vanity. If you enjoy marveling at your impressive collection of clothes and dressing up to meet your friends, this space is completely suited for that!

The designers at SEDS played around with the colour palette for this flat. While the base palette is a simple black and white, they made use of textures, hues and contrasts to brighten up the living room and kitchen while creating an intimate, darker setting for the bedroom.
619 Tampines St 61 by Todz’Terior

Todz’Terior had a modern take on this home in Tampines and used white marble and furniture to open up the living room and kitchen.

We see them create a contrast in the bedroom and closet / workspace as they made use of darker wood and black cabinets so you feel more cosy and at home!
