Ovon Design has produced many wonderful homes over the many years they have been in the industry. Their team of established designers is talented, professional, and creative. They have created beautiful homes with a wide range of designs but always the same level of craftsmanship.
Just take a look at how they transformed
this home in Telok Blangah into a serene and beautiful space.
The home features very relaxing colors and materials, with an emphasis on natural elements. This is evident the moment you walk through the doors as you are greeted by the sight of wooden furniture and vibrant green plants. The designer smartly compartmentalizes the space to allow convenient access to different areas of the home
The living room was kept simple and open to
improve the ventilation and lighting in the room. Since the living room is its
own space, keeping it neat and uncluttered is the best way to create the
illusion of a large space.
The foyer has a rather unique design as it is not the usual shoe cabinets that we are used to. Here, it almost looks like a cabinet that would go in the bedroom. The pull-out drawers and full-length storage cabinets are extremely useful and give you more flexibility in terms of storage. The full-body mirror is also useful for last checks before you leave home.
Let’s just take a moment to admire how all the small details come tother to create such a peaceful look. Everything seems to have its place in this home, from the white curtains to the wooden textures, to the green of the plants.
The dining table is nestled between the foyer entrance and the kitchen, which is a very smart way of arranging the space, given the layout and space constraints in this home.
Kitchen
We can see the designer’s attention to detail using décor, even in obscure corners that would most likely have been overlooked. This compact kitchen is perfect for small households that don’t need all the walls to be covered with cabinets.
Bedroom
The bedroom looks like a studio space because of the soft aesthetic. This space is a perfect representation when you think of a soft and peaceful bedroom.
There seem to be quite a few artistic
choices here, such as using a wooden stool as a bedside table, which is not a
common sight in most homes, but it seems like the perfect choice for this
bedroom. The plants once again bring a much-needed pop of colour to the space.
Bathroom
You might not think much about the bathroom
but the designer put as much thought into this space as they did the rest of
the home. Wooden panels were used for the shower to match the rest of the home,
while concrete was used for the other walls to create a modern look.
The choice of red and orange plant décor stands out against the grey background without seeming too out of place.
The other bathroom has a much more contemporary look but still retains the same elements and theme of the home.
