Kitchens are places where you whip up your meals each day so making sure that its interiors are bright and airy, and going the extra mile to make it user friendly is absolutely sensible. But you want to revamp it with designs that stay. Afterall, renovating can cost big bucks. What are some evergreen kitchen trends that are cool yet lasting? Below are some trends we predict will rule in the coming new year.
You can opt for a pairing of different lightings not only for functional purposes but also for decorative purposes. For illustration, an overhead lighting can provide overall illumination for the whole space whereas sconces will put the spotlight on specific places.
Plan what are the kitchen tasks you need to do and what lightings can be paired with those tasks. Then see what team of lightings you can put together such as mid-century pendants with French-country pendants. Also consider the style and colour of this lighting medley, keep one element consistent such as finish or colour for a coherent look.
Brass is in too appearing as cabinet hardware, drawer pulls, faucets and light fixtures. It is stylish no matter the finish: satin, unlacquered or unpolished brass. Design experts say brass is appealing as it looks bold and contemporary. Some tips to showcase brass include dark, moody cabinetry or as a faucet which could act as a focal point.
Integrated appliances particularly appliances such as fridges that could blend into the surrounding décor are also hot. To achieve this seamless look you can hide a refrigerator with custom panelling or choose to build wall ovens and other appliances into cabinetry for a streamlined look.
