Love Grey Interiors? Wait Till You See What Todzterior Did with This 4-Room Flat

December 17th 2025 | 4 min read

If you have ever looked around your resale flat and thought, “I just want it to feel clean, modern and easy to maintain,” this home will feel very relatable. The owners wanted a fuss free space where they could unwind after work without constantly battling visual clutter.

Grey was their preferred colour, but like many homeowners, they worried it might make the home feel cold or dull. Todzterior took that concern and turned it into a design challenge, layering different textures, lighting and carpentry so the flat feels warm, practical and quietly stylish. Here is how they transformed a typical 4 room resale into a grey sanctuary that still feels very liveable.

Project at a Glance

  • Interior Design Company: Todzterior

  • Property Type: 4-Room Resale Flat

  • Property Size: 92 sqm

  • Renovation Period: 10 weeks

  • Design Theme: Modern Contemporary

The living room blends warm leather tones with cool greys to create a cosy yet polished look. Natural light filters through sheer curtains, softening the entire space. It feels like a private home theatre and lounge in one, perfect for movie nights or lazy weekends on the roomy sofa.

Todzterior designed a sleek storage wall with illuminated display cabinets for collectibles and decor. Everything has its place, so the room looks neat even when life is busy.

The low TV console stretches across the wall, visually widening the space. Hidden storage keeps cables, remotes and gadgets out of sight for a clutter-free view.

The dining area sits comfortably between the entrance and kitchen, becoming the natural spot where everyone gathers. Neutral upholstered chairs and a dark toned table give it a grounded, cosy feel.

You can imagine weekday dinners, quick breakfasts or even board games here, a spot that quietly supports daily life without demanding attention.

This angle shows how the kitchen tucks neatly beside the dining space, with carpentry wrapping around the fridge and sink. Upper and lower cabinets maximise storage without making the area feel cramped. The palette of taupe and charcoal keeps stains less visible, ideal for heavy cooking or baking sessions.

From the opposite view, the galley style layout becomes clear. Long runs of counter space on both sides mean there is room for meal prep, small appliances and dish drying.

It is the kind of kitchen where two people can cook together comfortably, one at the stove and one handling drinks or plating at the opposite counter.

In the main bedroom, cove lighting lines the ceiling and headboard wall, creating a soft halo of light. Downlights are placed away from the bed, so there is no glare when you are lying down. At night, the room feels like a calm cocoon, bright enough to move around yet dim enough to help you relax instantly.

The wardrobe is custom-built to hug the wall and conceal awkward corners. Full height doors keep the lines clean, making the room feel taller.

A subtle niche beside the bed works as a mini bedside shelf and outlet point, keeping your phone or book within reach without cluttering the floor.

This common bedroom doubles as a study, with a built-in desk running along the window. Natural light streams in during the day, ideal for working from home or homework time.

The bed with pull out storage below keeps extra linens and belongings tucked away, so the room stays tidy despite its compact size.

A closer look at the desk shows how the under cabinet lighting brightens the work surface without shining directly into your eyes. The ergonomic chair and generous legroom make long hours more comfortable.

Closed cabinets above hide documents, cables and tech, helping the desktop stay clear so you can actually focus when it is time to work.

This bathroom carries the same modern grey palette, with large format tiles and clean black framed shower glass. The vanity features a simple basin and streamlined storage below for toiletries.

Cove lighting at the ceiling washes the walls with a soft glow, making the compact space feel taller and more luxurious, almost like a boutique hotel bath.

In this bathroom, the designer adds drama with a dark stone look countertop and matching wall tiles. The long counter provides plenty of space for daily essentials, while open shelving keeps tissues and toilet rolls within easy reach.

Concealed lighting under the mirror highlights the texture of the tiles and stone. It is stylish, but still very practical for everyday routines.

Todzterior has turned this 4 room resale flat into a modern grey sanctuary that fits real daily life. From the display storage in the living room to the hardworking kitchen, calming bedrooms and hotel style bathrooms, every corner is designed to be both beautiful and usable.
