If you like bright and bold accents, this resale HDB flat in Fernvale Link is your complete dreamhouse. This resale flat is a contemporary living space that is one-of-a-kind. By utilizing vibrant Turkish blues to contrast against a muted or minimalistic section of the house, it almost feels like you’re living in an art piece. The designers, Raymond and Zi An from Ovon Design, conceptualized and turned a typical 1025 square feet HDB flat into this beautiful contemporary home over the span of 11 weeks. The renovation works cost S$65,000, inclusive of hacking, painting, electrical rewiring and masonry tiling among other works. Let’s take a look at this luxurious 4-room resale HDB which comes with 3 bedrooms, so you’ll always be able to accommodate for sleepovers!
Living room
The living room is the first thing your guests see when they enter your house and it is sure to impress! Part of the living room has a more muted and rustic feeling, which is contrasted against the Turkish blue backdrop against the television. This gives the living room a focal point that will immediately draw the attention of your guests.
Kitchen
The kitchen has a darker look, and the cabinets stick to a green hue with black subway tiles as the backsplash. The floor and wall tiles were strategically chosen to be black as it makes the kitchen look chic and classy. Furthermore, dark colored tiles make stains and discoloration less obvious. Cooking in this kitchen will definitely make you feel as if you’re the head chef on a cooking show!
Dining room
In contrast to the kitchen, the dining area uses a lighter colour palette and makes the room look brighter. This gives the dining room a more cheerful vibe and the light colours also make the room look spacious and inviting.
Bathroom
The bathroom is the definition of elegance. Decked out completely in dark stone tiles, with the monotone color theme to keep it minimal so the bathroom doesn’t look too cluttered. The selection of this color combi will keep the maintenance easier. A glass panel separates the shower area from the rest of the bathroom to make the entire room look more spacious.
Bedroom
This 1025 square foot HDB flat comes with 3 bedrooms and while each of them is distinct, they still follow the overall theme quite closely, so the house’s design comes together cohesively. If you ever want to have guests over, or maybe just want a change of scenery before your bedtime, you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice!
