We're glad that we found Ascend Design as our ID for our very first home! The mood board, design, concepts and ideas attracted and impressed us, and we know that we've to go ahead with this. Indeed, it was the best choice ever! Thank you team! -Facebook Review

During the period of lockdown in April with various business sectors not able to execute any renovation work, I was introduced to ASCEND DESIGN by my close acquaintance who assured me that this company can provide reliable and trustworthy renovation offers. In the course of reviewing our design work and working out the quotation routine, it was clear to me that they are diligent in their task ahead of them and the schedules to complete on time amidst the tough condition that they will encounter ahead. Essentially, once the phase I notice was announced, Myron & his team (Ren Hao) are able to proceed their renovation work by communicating clearly his ideas via his 3D provision, to instruct & coordinate his workers to craft out the carpentry works without troubling me to seek any clarification for changes or rectification required. After 6 weeks of work done, the end product turns out to be as real as to its 3D drawings drafted. The work done was immaculate and truly to their belief to provide design ID that are thought-provoking yet functional aesthetics to your dream space — a space that reflects your lifestyle. I would strongly believe that this ID studio will progress far and stay strong in this industry with their work professionalism, competent workmanship, intriguing design work & budget conscious to one's need. Thanks for the work done to my new home and I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for renovation work to be done ! -Qanvast Review

We were introduced to several design firms through the Qanvast service (free iron and rice cooker, score!) and after meeting with several of them, decided to go with Ascend Design. Their quotation was not the cheapest but their designer (Agnes), their towkay (Uncle Jasper), and their project manager/minion (Joey) seemed to best understand what we wanted. Their proposal involved reworking the front bedroom, living room, and part of the kitchen into one integrated "social area", with part of it separated to form a working space. Working with the Ascend team was fun (even though they kept choosing ulu places to meet). We started the renovation design and planning work nearly 3 months before key collection so we had lots of flexibility when it finally came time to start. When I came up with strange and impractical requests, they were pretty good at suggesting more workable alternatives without sounding too horrified (although you can see Jasper dying a little bit inside). Less unreasonable requests were accommodated gracefully (usually with hilarious commentary, like "I have never seen that in any house before but okay, we can make it look good", or "Why you buy that thing so big one?"). Any minor issues I found were rectified pretty quickly (eg some stains on the cabinet after work was completed) and they were always responsive to messages, sometimes even at 1am (please do not treat your designers like this). The saddest part of the whole renovation process was the three month shutdown due to Covid-19 that happened just after we completed hacking works. I'm sure we all agree, this one cannot blame the design firm lah. Overall, the workmanship is good and nothing has caught fire or flushed itself down the toilet just yet. The electrician they worked with (you can choose this) is quite avant garde, so if you have some qualms you may wish to engage a different electrician. Our heartiest thanks to Agnes, Jasper, and Joey of Ascend Design for delivering on the sophisticated, modern home we've always dreamed of (and paid them for). Now, our friends come over not just to leech off the wifi or watch Netflix, but also to work from home (our home) and drink our coffee. I think some of them are openly jealous. -Qanvast Review

I would like to show our appreciation to Jacqueline from Ascend Design. She did an excellent job in designing and transforming into our ideal home. As a designer, she is well versed in space and storage knowledge and has great sense of aesthetics and styling. Jacqueline offered great design and styling ideas, and also input our preferences and requirements perfectly. Jacqueline is a detailed person and frequently offered practical advices so that the living space became one that is both pleasing and functional. From the inception of the project to the handover, Jacqueline took effort to be on-site and giving us updates regularly to ensure the progress of the renovation went smoothly. She took extra effort, being responsive and responsible which was why we engaged her among other companies. Nonetheless, the quality and workmanship of the carpentry and electrical works are seamlessly performed throughout. Overall, the project was well-coordinated and was generally smooth. The completed outcome and design give us a warm and cosy ambience that is more than what we expected. Many of our guest could feel sense of relaxation, rejuvenation and inspiration in every corner. Many times, me and my wife return home feeling like a getaway especially after long day at work. Indeed, a good design can create a welcoming home that will accompany you for years. Thank you Jacqueline and Ascend Design for providing such assurance through this project. -Qanvast Review

My wife and i were recommended by a few renovation portals IDs and after seeing quite a few we were wow-ed by the moodboard that Yu Xuan showed us. I think we could definitely tell that this was different from the other in the box designers who we saw. Yu Xuan never hard sell us anything throughout our conversation and also makes good suggestions for colour pairing and furniture selections. The renovation process had a few hiccups and i think the designer's lack of experience was showing but we think what he lacks in experience he is definitely making it up with his hardwork and design skills. The material selection and detailing was quite a breeze because he knew what was needed for our house to make it the way we envisioned. Quite practical thinking when it comes to storage spaces. All of the issues were solved and we were able to move in despite the circuit breaker delay. Very thankful to the team that help us with our deadline. Our home is very beautiful and we recommend Yu Xuan if you want your home to not be a cookie cutter. Well done Yu Xuan! -Qanvast Review

We engaged Jasper to design our house after going through a few different IDs and what made us choose Ascend was that Jasper was very attentive to details and took focus on our lifestyle and not just requirements. He was assisted by Ren Hao for our home renovation. The process wasn’t as smooth as we thought it would be but the designers are always ready to jump in to explain the situation and find solutions for us. We didn’t expect a resale home to have so many issues and I’m Glad we are able to get over them and have such a beautiful results. My wife and I would think that the key attribute would be the design eye that the company has which can be reflected in the completed home. Would definitely engage Ascend again but I think my family and I are going to continue staying in this home for a long time :) -Qanvast Review

I first met Jasper and Agnes a year ago but some changes in plan did not allow for me to proceed with the home renovation. When I got my new resale condo with my husband I immediately contacted them again because I remembered their great service and their eye for detailing. It is like they took note of the things I said with much thoughts and it is well reflected in the design. It was quite different from what the other IDs proposed and they focus quite abit on details which makes a lot of difference in my opinion. The whole renovation process was a nightmare because it seems like there were issues popping up everywhere as it was an old place but jasper and Agnes were quite quick to solve them. I think mainly it is important to trust that your ID can give you a good job since I’m not an expert and the end result is just as what I wanted. Thank you Ascend!
