For my resale flat, after sourcing many ID/contractors, We've settled with Jonathan and we are certainly pleased with the service. These are due to the following reasons: 1. Sourcing for quotations stage - Met up with Jonathan 4 times with multiple queries. Each time, despite his busy schedule, Jonathan was equally friendly, patient and attentive to address all queries. - His prices are reasonable and value for money versus the competition 2. During commencement of renovation work stage - Jonathan would send regular updates of the work and progress - Whenever there are questions or issues, while Jonathan is engaged with other projects, he will endeavour to reply and find solutions to these issues in a timely manner - For questions on lights, furniture and layout, Jonathan can be counted upon to provide his input. At times I've consulted him on Sunday (his off day) and he has taken the extra mile to reply - His quality of carpentry is known to be one of the best (i.e. ABS trimming is tip top etc.) 3. After sales support - After handing over the flat, on and off where I've queries or where there are minor issues, Jonathan is still prompt to address any of my queries and attend to them. Overall a wonderful experience. Thank you Jonathan! -Facebook Review

My hubs and I are very happy and satisifed with the house Jonathan has done up for us. We were initially deliberating between hiring a contractor vs ID but we settled for the latter as we want the ID to be able to weigh on our suggestions and highlight any caveats to the seemingly nice designs we see on social media these days. Our experience with Jonathan was a very pleasant one even though it stretch across the circuit breaker. Jonathan is very sincere - he was different from other IDs and come across as passionate in his line of work rather than transactional like most others. In our pre-deposit engagement, Jonathan invested time and effort to mock up a brief 3D proposed layout of our house which allowed us to visualize much better. Jonathan listens to our needs and readily propose designs to complement it. He was extremely accommodative all the way even during CB period when our ideas kept changing. We were initially worried about CB impact on our house reno but these worries were unfounded as Jonathan was already working on a solution in the background before he updated us. In our new hdb block, my household was one of the first few to resume reno after CB period and this was possible because of Jonathan. He was very conscious of the project timeline and even sourced for SG workers to complete carpentry installation on time when MY workers could not enter SG. His attention to details was also commendable; we could always count on him to make complete arrangements. We bought some Ikea pegboards but neither my hubs nor I was comfortable drilling. To our surprise, Jonathan offered to help us drill and install the pegboards. In sum, please be assured if you are working with Jonathan, you are in extremely good hands! -Facebook Review

I engaged Hygge Design for my new home renovation earlier this year and Jonathan was the one who attended to me. Jonathan is an experienced ID who is meticulous and responsive to all my queries. I shopped around for a number of IDs and found Jonathan to be able to relate more with my requirements and can communicate effectively and promptly than the others. Hygge Design was also able to provide a competitive quote compared to the other IDs we enquired with. Although he has multiple projects on hand, he is able to remember what we went through and we were able to make progress each time we met. My renovation was slightly delayed due to Chinese new year, and Jonathan was upfront in informing us. He also went through the workmanship with us and had his workers rectify certain defects accordingly. All in all I highly recommend Jonathan. Do look for him if you need a responsible and experienced ID. -Facebook Review

A big thank you to Jonathan from Hygge Design that we are able to move in to our nicely renovated home within a short period of time. Given a tight deadline to meet, Jonathon shows his utmost professionalism in completing the job. He is easy going, super responsive, gave us new ideas on our home layout, provided us with reliable answers on our renovation queries and most importantly, provided us the best cost saving ways. We were able to go on holidays during the renovation period and leave the job to his good hands. He kept us updated with photos of the renovation progress every other day while we were away. We are very satisfied with the end result. Post renovation service is tip top as well. Thumbs up Jonathan and 100 “likes” for you -Facebook Review

We engaged Hygge Design late last year and Jonathan Chua was our ID. He was incredibly professional and listened to all our ideas and input, improving them by fully understanding our goals and providing his own take on the concepts along with what was possible or not. It was a pleasure and we always felt confident that his suggestions were the right ones. When it came to the actual project management, Jonathan was very communicative and always guiding us in preparing for what to expect with dealing with the MCST/Contractors and handled all our paperwork. We always felt at ease and fully in the know. Even when some work didn't go as planned or changes had to be made due to details we missed out, he was always upfront in letting us know and immediate in rectifying the issues. As a home owner, I'm so glad we took the time to talk to a lot of IDs(~8) before we found someone like Jonathan and Hygge design. -Facebook Review

We met Zhi Wei from Hygge Design at a wedding showcase back in 2019. At that time, my fiancee and I had not gotten a house yet and nothing was in the plan. We merely approach Zhi Wei for a rough quotation back then to plan our finances. However, to my surprise, Zhi Wei was very responsible to follow up with us about 6 months down the road. We were simply very impressed by how honest and non-pushy she was. After looking through at multiple IDs, we decided to go with Zhi Wei because she was very sincere and honest about everything. Everything was very smooth from the planning, 3D rendering, renovation and till the hand over. Zhi Wei is meticulous is what she does and she never failed to give us a variety of options. Cost was a big thing for my fiancee and I and Zhi Wei was always willing to go out of her way to help us. Besides all that, Zhi Wei is always punctual for meetings and has never over sold any ideas/materials to us After hearing so many hell stories from other people about engaging IDs, Zhi Wei is definitely on the other spectrum of it. It was a breeze to work with her and eventually designed the house design that we wanted. Thank you so much for such a smooth delivery of the project. Whenever we step into our house, we will always remember you! -Facebook Review
